Course Description

• Seniors, after completing at least one summer of research, will write science papers based on their experiences and enter them in various high school science competitions! In collaboration with teachers, their assigned research mentors and appropriate alumni, students will craft nearly professional papers in the format seen in any peer-reviewed journal; a highly regarded skill. In addition to learning how to effectively write a paper, students will also learn to give presentations, highlighting their papers’ results and analyses, as one would expect to see at a formal conference. The semester concludes with the after-school event, Celebration of Science, where seniors are acknowledged and awarded for their achievements in scientific research!
