Course Description

• This one year course is designed to provide junior students (grade 11) with the necessary skills such as the ability to read journal articles and perform molecular biology techniques in order to conduct their own independent research projects. Furthermore, students are expected to work during the summer with a mentor on a research project. Once completed juniors return to Biology Research to learn how to write a peer-reviewed journal article based on their research experience. This class is best for students who have already begun work on a research project in the biological sciences.
