Course Description

  • The course will focus on learning and reinforcing the proper guidelines, principles and techniques of weight-lifting. Students will be introduced to the 5 health related components of fitness: muscular strength, muscular endurance, cardiovascular endurance, flexibility and body composition. Students will be given opportunities to improve physical fitness, acquire knowledge of fitness concepts and practice positive personal and social skills. The class is structured for any ability level from a beginner, someone who has never lifted free weights before, or the athlete who has a regular weight lifting program.
